In her designs, she interprets nature, organic forms and textures of nature beautifully. She also traces the influences of recent and ancient architecture. The design language is always a mix of classic style mixed with modern edge. Keeping in mind the most important factors ‘the function form and ergonomics of a product, she conceptualizes designs that are always loved for their usefulness.
All her work is functional as well as ornamental using the industrial/hand techniques. Along with this she also plays with surface contrast finishes and mixing materials which complement the final product design.
Having worked with lots of Karigars from different places, she has mastered the handcrafting of raising metal (stainless steel) from Riwari, Hathras to Muradabad.
While the hand raising craft of raising metal (especially stainless steel) is dying, she works to alleviate this craft in this century also.
Works with fair practices with different hand techniques combining them with industrial techniques to make the product mass produce.
Swati generates employment for the karigars who mass produce these art pieces. She is a marvelous architect and Industrial designer, who studied from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. With the total experience of 8 years she started with furniture design and then to designing stainless steel lifestyle products ranging from tableware to barware to home décor.
